Candy.ai: a visual companion universe with a meter running

The category's most expansive mix of chat, character creation and visual entertainment, but tokens and unproven memory decide whether the breadth is worth paying for.

Bond Circuit verdict

Candy.ai is the benchmark for visual variety and low-friction exploration. Its public platform is unusually broad, but Bond Circuit has not run a paid multi-session test, so memory, media quality and the real monthly token cost remain unverified.

Two fictional adult companions emerge from a midnight interface of voice, image, video and memory signals.
Editorial signal

A vivid front door to visual companionship, with the real value decided by memory and token use.

The 60-second decision

What matters before you join.

Candy.ai has grown beyond a single chatbot into a polished adult entertainment platform with premade companions, character creation, chat, images, voice, video, Shorts, Cams and Live Action scenes. That variety makes it the category benchmark for exploration. The harder question starts after the first impression: whether the relationship stays convincing and whether tokens make the visual experience cost more than expected.

Why it earns a look
  • The broadest public mix of chat and visual formats in our current set
  • Girlfriend, boyfriend and anime discovery in one account
  • Current prices, cancellation route and legal policies are publicly visible
What should slow you down
  • One subscription still includes a separate token meter
  • Recent owner anecdotes raise cost and repetition concerns
  • Memory quality remains unverified without a multi-session test

The short answer

Candy.ai is the broadest entertainment-style AI companion we found, and that is both the reason to try it and the reason to be careful. The public site now stretches far beyond chat: premade girlfriends and boyfriends, a character builder, images, voice, video, Shorts, Cams, Live Action scenes and small game-like diversions all sit inside the same account.

That range makes Candy a useful first stop for someone who has not yet decided whether they want conversation, character creation or visual play. It does not prove that the conversation will still feel convincing in week two. Candy makes a strong memory claim, but Bond Circuit has not run a private chat or a paid plan, so we cannot endorse its recall, media quality or emotional depth from first-hand use.

Our verdict is deliberately narrower: Candy.ai is best for visual variety and low-friction exploration, not for a buyer who wants proven long-term continuity or one predictable all-in price. The subscription itself is easy to understand. The token layer is where the real value calculation begins.

Evidence boundary Public interface and policies checked, private conversation not tested

Candy.ai is becoming an entertainment platform

Calling Candy an AI girlfriend chatbot now undersells what is on the screen. The logged-out navigation we observed included Discover, Shorts, Chat, Collection, Create Character, My AI, Private Content and Premium. The home page moved from a cinematic CandyShorts promotion into live camera-style experiences, romance scenarios, featured characters and an invitation to build your own companion. There are distinct routes for girls, anime characters and guys.

This matters because most people do not arrive with a tidy feature specification. They arrive with a mood. Sometimes they want a conversation. Sometimes they want to design a character, make an image or watch a short scene. Candy's advantage is that it lets those intentions bleed into each other without sending the buyer to three separate products.

The interface also reveals Candy's commercial instinct. Discovery comes first. Character cards, promotional scenes and format changes continually offer a new direction to click. That can make the product feel alive, but it can also keep the user browsing novelty rather than building one relationship. If your idea of a companion is a single personality that becomes richer over time, catalogue size is not the metric that should win you over.

Where Candy earns its benchmark status

The case for Candy is not that every feature is best in class. We do not have the evidence to say that. The case is that the product makes the category legible. A newcomer can see, in one place, the main directions adult companion apps have taken: authored characters, custom characters, conversational roleplay, generated media, voice, short-form video and interactive scenes. Even the boyfriend catalogue is easy to find, which is still uncommon in a market built mostly around AI girlfriends.

Candy's featured characters are not blank profile cards. Their public scenarios have a setting, a relationship premise and a reason for the conversation to begin. That is good experience design. It shortens the awkward first minute when a user does not know what to type. It also creates a fairer trial: you can judge whether the character sustains an established voice instead of mistaking your own prompting skill for the product's quality.

Visual ambition is the clearest thread through the public product. Independent review pages in the current search results also tend to lead with Candy's images. Anonymous community posts are more mixed, but even a recent critical comparison described the generations as the product's strong point. We treat that only as a useful clue. Without repeating the same character and scene across several outputs, nobody can honestly tell you how well Candy preserves a face, outfit or mood.

Chat and memory: the promise needs a week, not ten minutes

Candy says conversations become personal and that companions remember what matters. That is exactly the kind of claim that sounds impressive on a landing page and proves very little in a short session. A model can echo a detail that is still inside the current conversation without having durable memory. It can also agree with a reminder you just supplied. Neither behaviour shows that the companion carried your history into a later day.

The useful memory test is small and slightly boring. Tell the character that your harmless fictional dog is called Miso and hates rain. Move through two unrelated topics. Return in a new session and ask what walk Miso would dislike. A good answer must retrieve both the name and the preference without being fed either fact again. Repeat the test after changing one detail, because stale memory can be as frustrating as no memory at all.

Conversation style deserves a separate test. Pick one character with a clearly written public premise and ask three open questions that require different kinds of response: a story, a decision and a disagreement. Watch for the same flirtatious sentence wearing different clothes. Community complaints about repetition are plausible, but we cannot turn them into a product-wide fact. We can turn them into a better test.

Candy's own terms draw an important boundary here. They describe the service as entertainment, not emotional support, and state that the characters are fictional and do not have real feelings. That is not a footnote to hide. It is the healthiest way to understand the product: a responsive fictional experience, not a person and not a substitute for professional support.

Candy.ai pricing: the subscription is only the first number

On 14 August 2026, Candy's public subscription page showed three terms. Each plan listed the same headline benefits: unlimited text messages, 100 tokens per month, the ability to create AI girlfriends, 18+ image and video generation, and the full Live Action experience. Candy also says it accepts cards and cryptocurrency. The page states that charges appear as EverAI on a bank statement.

TermShown per monthImplied charge
1 month $13.99
$13.99The shortest commitment and the cleanest way to test the paid experience.
3 months $8.99
$26.97*Candy shows 35% off. The total here is our arithmetic from the monthly equivalent.
12 months $3.99
$47.88*Candy marks this as best value and shows 70% off. It is still a full-year commitment.

*The three-month and twelve-month totals are Bond Circuit's multiplication of the displayed monthly equivalents, not captured checkout totals. Confirm the amount charged today, tax, currency and renewal price before paying.

The annual offer is visually persuasive. At $3.99 per month it looks cheaper than one month, and Candy labels it best value. The relevant comparison is not $3.99 against $13.99. It is a full year against one month of evidence. Paying $13.99 for a serious trial can be the less expensive decision if it prevents a year-long purchase that does not suit your habits.

Tokens are the part many headline reviews blur. Unlimited text does not mean unlimited Candy. The subscription includes 100 tokens per month, while images, video and more elaborate companion experiences can use that separate balance. Candy's terms say unused subscription tokens expire at the end of the billing period and do not roll over. In other words, the product contains both a subscription and a consumption meter.

Before generating anything expensive, note the token balance. Make one image and one short video from the same character, then note the new balance. Regenerate one weak result and check again. That small exercise tells you more about likely monthly cost than any percentage discount. It also catches a common frustration: paying twice to repair an output that missed the brief the first time.

Refund window

Candy's terms generally ask customers to request a refund within 24 hours. They say a subscription refund may be refused after more than 20 tokens have been used, and a token purchase may be refused once those tokens are used. The policy describes card purchases and notes that statutory rights can differ. Read the current terms before treating any purchase as reversible.

Privacy: "private" does not mean off the record

Candy gives privacy and safety more public space than many smaller companion products. Its legal centre links to a privacy policy, underage policy, content-removal route, complaint policy, community guidelines and blocked-content rules. The company named in those documents is EverAI Limited in Malta. Visible governance is useful, especially in an adult category, but it should not be confused with a promise that intimate chats never leave the service's systems.

The privacy policy says account details, device and browser data, IP-derived location, token balance, AI preferences, prompts, messages, calls and outputs can be personal data. It notes that preferences may reveal sensitive personal information. It also says providers involved in moderation and AI delivery, including third-party model or hosting providers, may receive message content. Data can be transferred outside the European Union, including to the United States.

The terms add another detail that creators should understand. You retain ownership of what you submit, but grant EverAI a broad worldwide licence to store, modify, distribute and otherwise use that material for purposes that include running, securing and improving the service. This is not legal advice, and licences can operate differently across jurisdictions. It is enough reason not to upload a real person's photograph, private correspondence or anything you lack the right to share.

Our practical rule is simple: use a separate email, a pseudonym and fictional biographical details. Do not share a home address, workplace, financial information, medical details or an image that identifies someone else. If a fantasy only works when it contains a real secret, it is a poor fit for a cloud AI service.

Candy's policy describes access, correction, deletion, restriction and objection rights, but deletion is not the same as instantaneous erasure from every backup or legally required record. The policy lists retention periods for several categories, including longer retention for financial records. Check the live policy when privacy is a deciding factor.

The Bond Circuit seven-day Candy test

A one-evening trial rewards spectacle. A seven-day trial exposes whether the product fits your routine. Keep the prompts harmless and the spend small until these checks are complete.

  1. Day 1
    Choose one authored character.

Pick a public scenario with a distinct premise. Ask for a story, a decision and a disagreement. Note repeated phrasing rather than relying on a general impression.

  2. Day 2
    Plant a memory.

Use a fictional name and preference, then change topics. Do not remind the character when you return to it.

  3. Day 3
    Price one complete media loop.

Record the token balance before an image, a video and one regeneration. This is your real unit cost.

  4. Day 4
    Test visual continuity.

Ask for the same character in a different setting. Compare face, age, clothing details and mood, not just sharpness.

  5. Day 5
    Return to the memory indirectly.

Ask a question whose answer requires the earlier detail. A confident wrong answer is worse than an honest miss.

  6. Day 6
    Find the exits.

Locate cancellation, account deletion and support. Save the renewal date and bank-statement descriptor.

  7. Day 7
    Count what you actually used.

If you ignored Shorts, Cams and video, do not pay a premium for breadth. If you used several formats, Candy's ecosystem may be the point.

Who should choose Candy, and who should keep comparing?

Choose Candy if variety itself is valuable. It is a convincing shortlist candidate for a first time buyer who wants to discover whether chat, character building, voice or visual generation will become the main habit. It is also one of the few products where girlfriend, boyfriend and anime discovery are all obvious on the public surface.

Keep comparing if your priority is a quieter, relationship-first interface or if every extra meter irritates you. DreamCompanion has the clearest memory-led public position in our current set. DarLink AI is the more control-heavy choice for someone who enjoys building a character. Our dedicated Candy.ai vs OurDream.ai comparison handles that specific decision without forcing this review to rank for the same search intent.

If you simply want more options, use the Candy.ai alternatives guide. That page owns the broad alternatives question. This review owns a different one: is Candy itself worth trying? For a visually curious buyer willing to measure token use, yes. For a buyer seeking proven emotional continuity, the evidence is not strong enough yet.

Final verdict: an impressive front door, with the meter in the next room

Candy.ai has done more than assemble a feature checklist. It has built a coherent place to browse adult AI entertainment, and its public presentation makes the category feel inviting rather than technical. The character premises are easy to enter. Visual formats are not buried. Girlfriend, boyfriend and anime discovery coexist. For somebody who wants to understand what modern companion apps can do, Candy remains the benchmark.

The product's weakest point is not an observed technical failure. It is the gap between what can be admired publicly and what only a paid, multi-day test can settle. Memory may be durable or shallow. Media may be worth every token or feel expensive after a few regenerations. Anonymous owners report both delight and buyer's remorse. Candy's own subscription and legal pages give enough information to make a careful trial possible, but not enough to skip the trial.

Bond Circuit would buy one month before buying one year. We would keep personal details fictional, measure the token cost of one full creative loop, and test memory across separate sessions. If Candy passes those three checks, the breadth stops being decoration and becomes real value. If it doesn't, the annual discount was never a bargain.

Candy.ai questions, answered plainly

Is Candy.ai free?

Candy presents a free entry point, but the logged-out site does not give enough stable detail to promise a particular free allowance. The paid page lists unlimited text, 100 monthly tokens and media features as subscription benefits. Treat free access as a sample, then check the live limit before investing time in a character.

How much does Candy.ai cost?

On 14 August 2026, Candy showed $13.99 for one month, $8.99 per month for three months and $3.99 per month for twelve months. The longer prices are monthly equivalents. Confirm the immediate total, tax and renewal price at checkout because offers can change.

Are messages really unlimited?

The subscription page lists unlimited text messages. It separately includes 100 tokens per month, which suggests that media and other premium actions can still be metered. Unlimited text should not be read as unlimited use of every feature.

Do Candy.ai tokens roll over?

Candy's current terms say unused subscription tokens expire at the end of the billing period and do not carry over or receive a refund. That makes the monthly token allowance something to use deliberately, not a balance to save indefinitely.

Can you cancel Candy.ai?

The pricing page says you can cancel in Settings. The terms say paid access continues until the end of the current billing period. Cancel before the renewal date and keep the confirmation rather than assuming account deletion also stops billing.

Is Candy.ai private and safe?

Candy publishes privacy, safety, underage and content-removal policies, which is better than having no visible governance. Its privacy policy also says prompts, messages, calls and outputs are personal data, and that service providers may receive message content. Use a pseudonym and avoid details you would not want processed by an AI vendor.

What name appears on the bank statement?

The subscription page says the charge appears as EverAI. Check that descriptor again at checkout if discreet billing matters to you.

How this Candy.ai review was made

Bond Circuit checked Candy's logged-out homepage, subscription page, legal centre, terms and privacy policy in Chrome on 14 August 2026. We reconciled the product with the current approved affiliate destination, retained exact-brand search results, reviewed relevant Reddit threads and ran a focused Last30Days sweep. That sweep returned many unrelated uses of the word Candy and no recent product-specific cluster strong enough to call consensus. Reddit and X coverage were partial, so we do not mistake incomplete collection for silence.

We did not create an account, enter a private chat, generate adult content, buy tokens, cancel a plan or request a refund. Feature quality, memory, latency and long-term reliability therefore remain unverified. Prices and policies are dated observations, not promises about what will appear at your checkout. Read our full review methodology and send a correction through the contact page if Candy changes a material term.
